Today, we have some really exciting news that we’re thrilled to share with you. After years of working towards making Endomondo a connected network where fitness is a fun, social and engaging experience, we will now form part of an even greater team to take that experience further.

Our team will now be powered by Under Armour, the originator of performance apparel and a global brand that remains at the forefront of sports performance innovation. We’re going to continue to develop Endomondo under our current brand and our team couldn’t be more excited about the new opportunities that lie ahead, for us and for our users.

Kevin Plank, Founder and CEO of Under Armour, and I share a common vision of making athletes of every level better. Endomondo’s mission will remain the same as when we founded Endomondo in 2007— to motivate people to get active by making it more engaging, more social, and more fun to exercise.

Back when we started out, there were almost no phones with GPS, let alone an app store. Now, with 20 million registered users and dedicated apps across multiple devices, we’ve certainly come a long way. We’re incredibly grateful for all the support and feedback we’ve received from our users. You helped us get this far and we wouldn’t be here without you.

But we’re only just getting started. The Endomondo brand and product will live on, even stronger and more energized than ever before. You can still use Endomondo just as you have in the past and we will continue focusing on creating more motivating tools to make fitness fun. Any feedback on product improvements is welcome as always!

I am extremely excited about our partnership with Under Armour as their experience in performance innovation extends beyond apparel and footwear, to digital health and performance tracking. Kevin and I look forward to offering our users an expanded set of apps and features within Under Armour’s suite of Connected Fitness apps.

As you may have heard, MyFitnessPal – the leader in calorie and diet tracking – also plans to join the Under Armour Connected Fitness Suite of Apps. We strongly believe our new partnerships will enable us to speed up our growth and deliver a more engaging and motivating user experience, at a rate we could only dream of before this.

Endomondo and Under Armour share the vision of empowering athletes from all walks of life, and we look forward to accelerating our pace as we continue this journey with you all. Thanks once again for your continued support.

All the best for 2015 and beyond,
