For those of us in the Northern hemisphere, the days are getting shorter and there’s a certain chill in the air. You know what that means…winter is coming.
But, before it rears its head and makes us bring out our cold weather gear, there’s a day on the calendar that gives us goosebumps regardless of the temperature outside. We’re talking about Halloween.
In the spirit of this spooky celebration, we asked you to share the weirdest or creepiest thing you’ve ever encountered while working out.
Your answers made us laugh out loud, nod in agreement, and think twice before heading out on the trails at night! Here are a few of our favorites, along with a gratuitous use of animal puns (don’t say we didn’t warn you):
Definitely no fawn at all.
No shame in that.
A hare-raising experience…
Proving that deer aren’t the only ones that can make you jump on a run.
Not exactly from down under, but…
A real night mare (we warned you)
What exactly whispered to her horse remains unknown…
The mysterious case of the man/boar/triathlete.
We’d run too.
Beyond the hills…
The trees have eyes, lots of them 👀
Always sound advice.
Just keep riding.
There’s something creepy about cornfields…
Why else are they in so many scary movies?
Encounter with the supernatural 👻
How to react to that?
No time to be lion around…
Cause, you know, mountain lions.
Just moov already!
Such a bully.
Caught in a web 🕸
@Endomondo Running into a huge Spiderweb with a big Spider in the middle while passing two close standing trees… 🕷🙈🙊

They just sneak up on you!
Aside from creepy Halloween sightings, some of you embraced the date in true runner style. We want to give a special shout out to Robert and his run from last weekend:
Now that’s how you make a zombie run.
