New website feature: Merge workouts to create one full workout

You can now merge two or more workouts to create one full workout. As some of you might tried, there was actually a way to merge workout  before – manually, by using a text editor.  Since it took quite some time and results were not always as desired, no wonder you kept asking us to offer you a better way. We are glad to introduce now a simple tool to merge workout.

Basically, you just select at least 2 workouts  you would like to merge from your History list under Training tab. The workouts should be of the same sport, on the same date and less than 30 min. apart from each other.

Then you just click on the green “Merge“ button (see screenshot) and this action will copy workout data, comments, likes, friend tags, title, notes, and status messages, and move pictures to the merged workout. If any of the workouts has title, notes and/or status, these will be copied from the latest workout having this information.

Let us know how you like it!

  2. Awesome…sometimes my GPS goes out and I have to start and re-start it…it would be great to merge the two runs into one instead of uploading from my garmin gpx file

  3. After merging 2 workout (WO) and requesting to exclude the old WOs from statistics, they are still being added to total amounts at new HOME option (tablet version).

    Like it a lot.
You should also work on the possibility of continuing a completed workout from the device.
This is for instances such as accidental stop of workout, reset of device, replacing a battery, etc.

Great but why 30 minutes only ?
I often take a lunch time of one hour or more in a day of sport (Mountain Bike or hiking for instance).

    Thank you.

Hi, unfortunately we don’t have this feature. Thanks

If we can have a feature trim/remove a segment of the workout… it could be great too.

This is a great feature !
I wonder why I cannot export the merged workout, or link it to a route ? Once merged, it is not considered as a “normal” workout ?

I have the same problem. Did you find anything out?

      Endomondo support. Speak up!

Nice! Would be really good if we could merge multi-sport workouts too (such as when competing in Triathlon); even better if this could be set as a feature in the mobile app itself!

A much needed feature but I wish I hadn’t used it. I merged two workouts and now there is no export option? What gives? The annoying thing is as well, you cannot re-upload the workouts from the app so I’m stuck. Please advise.

I wrongly input aerobic instead if running, are there any way I can edit the (history) workout?

Well there was not only a manual way, there was a good script/webpage for it as well, made by some guy, which did not have the 30min limit…

Why that limit, make it at least a few (24) hours or so. If you’re out biking and your phone freezes, you easy miss the 30min limit.

It currently does not allow you to export your merged workout. Is this a bug?

  21. Export and Link seem to be a problem after merged workout.
Same problem as Phil, Laurent and Nathan.
Any comments from the Endomondo developers?

After merge, i’m missing data. In overview it says: 7km, but when i look at the data / lap times, it only shows data for 1. workout. Workout number 2 is missing. Anyone having the same problem?
