iPhone App 8.3.0. Offers Further Improvements on Social Features

News Feed with workout pictures

With the latest release on iPhone app 8.3.0. we have improved some of the social features. As it was previously introduced, it became possible to tag friends you’ve done a workout with, add photos and a status message right from the app after the workout is finished.

Tagging friends is now much easier and faster, because the app auto-detects friends you have been working out with (same route at the same time) or suggests recently tagged friends.

Photos, which you added to a workout, are visible in the News Feed with iPhone app 8.3.0. and you can view them in a full screen by clicking on them.

We made challenges clickable in the News Feed, so you can now join a challenge easily right after you read that your friends joined some and let the peer-pressure (in the most positive sense) begin.

You can download the Endomondo iPhone app here:

For an upcoming version, I’d like to see a “copy route” feature, so if I’m going with a friend who doesn’t have his GPS unit, he can copy my route (not pulse or cadence) after I tagged him.

    Hey,

I’ve already left a message here some time ago:

    http://blog.endomondo.com/2012/07/09/meet-the-new-endomondo-for-android/

    but got no reply.

After upgrade to 8.9.1 random crashes during the workout are still here. I use Endomondo Pro app on Android (2.3.4, Motorola Defy+). I suppose this happens mostly in case of connectivity loss (but not always). Sometimes instead of crashing it just stops recording my track by itself, for no obvious reason.

Hello, something wrong with my endomondo too. The data total ascent and total descent in Mountain biking is wrong. If the max altitude is 246 meters how is possible the total ascent be 1213 meters?? Its a problem with the iphone or with the endomondo app?? Thanks ;-)

    Upgrade the windows phone app!
Right now I’m missing all of the features listed above as well as:
Not being able to edit my workouts via the app
Not being able to delete my workouts via the app. (maybe both of these are just a bug as I thought I could do this previously)
