At first glance, Endomondo iPhone users will instantly notice an improved, clean, uncluttered navigation menu that makes better use of screen size and offers a fresh layout for easier movement through the app.  Fitness fans will also note changes to the main tracking screen redesigned for easy, quick review so users can keep abreast of current performance. The update also includes increased accuracy based on improved GPS filtering.

Mette Lykke, co-founder of Endomondo, said this is the second major app revision in 2012 to serve the needs of iPhone app users.  “We want fitness to be more social, more engaging and more fun. Ease of use is crucial to achieve this, so we’re excited to launch new navigation and design with our iPhone app. The new navigation will make it possible for us to add more features in the future including more motivational tools to encourage our community to be working out more.”

  1. Hey guys!

Any chances to see sneak peek of the upcoming update to your app?

Frankly I would love to see 3 things:
    – iPad version of your app to monitor my progress and my friends’ workouts
    – not only Garmin to Endomondo auto-import feature but Endo-to-Garmin sync as well (not possible at the moment)
    – quick update on how Endomondo gained users on various platforms to date, statistics on kilometers tracked (f.i. per country; anonymized excel database would be very cool) since it launched, and short info where you see Endo app heading (general comment)
