Endomondo, Kimberly-Clark’s Scott Brand and the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin Challenge Wisconsin Residents to Get Up & Ride!

News Release: Endomondo Sports Tracker app provides challenge participants with progress tracking and social support

Endomondo Sports Tracker, the app that turns the mobile phone into a full-fledged personal trainer in your pocket, is encouraging Wisconsin residents to Get Up & Ride! Endomondo has teamed up with Kimberly-Clark’s Scott® Brand and the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin (Bike Fed www.challenge.bfw.org) for a four-month Wisconsin Bike Challenge. 

The Challenge is open to all Wisconsin businesses, organizations and residents 18 and older. It begins at the start of National Bike to Work Week on Monday, May 16, 2011, and runs through September 30, 2011.

Participants will earn points based on the number of miles and trips they make each day, both for transportation that replaces vehicle use, such as commuting or grocery shopping, as well as recreational riding.

All points are tracked with the Endomondo app and posted to a special campaign website featuring the Endomondo social community. Participants can send messages to inspire and motivate friends and co-workers with audio feedback and pep talks, plus challenge them to compete against each other.

Individuals will be entered into prize drawings of more than $3,000, including a Trek bike and Trek recreation package, and will receive one entry for each point earned. Prizes are awarded on a monthly basis based on transportation bike points, with grand prizes given away at the end of the Challenge for both recreation and transportation points.
